Rhino in Love | 恋爱的犀牛

Rhino In Love is originally a pioneering play written by the Chinese writer Yimei Liao (廖一梅). 

I filmed a scene from it as an exploration of language and visual style, with my fellow filmmakers at Columbia University, New York.

A Beautiful Story for Cecily  is a proof-of-concept work for one of my feature-length writings, shot with my fellow filmmakers at Columbia University, New York.

The scene is about two people who want to escape their loneliness, off-beat in conversation, gain intimacy in listening to music together.

After it was posted on a video website in China, it generated passionate discussions about love among my viewers.

As my first project in film school, The Vessel of Time  is an exploratory piece that is essential in establishing my cinematic themes and writing approach.

We produced two versions out of the same idea, and found irreplaceable authenticity in both.
